Dr. Rene Trevino is a professor at California State University Long Beach and was a guest on the Golden Spotlight on 22 West Radio. He shared his life story including being in a band for a while until he decided he wanted more out of life so he earned his degrees and made his way to California. He also talks about the campus annual event known as the Latinx Literature Lecture Series where a writer visits and mentors student writers.
